Creating Receipts in Bulk from Reports

Receipts can be generated in bulk from a Gift Report and either emailed or printed.

Start by running a Gift Report that includes the Gifts you want to acknowledge. You can use a standard Gift Report or create a custom report with filters for criteria such as Gift Date, Campaign, Appeal, Payment Type, or other Gift details.

Run a Gift Report and Apply Filters
  1. Navigate to Reporting > Reports.

  2. Open an existing Gift Report or create a new custom Gift Report.

  3. Apply the date range and filters needed to include the Gifts you want.

  4. Click Run Report.

Optional: Filter Out Gifts That Already Have a Receipt

If you only want to include Gifts that have not yet been acknowledged:

  1. Click the Columns icon in the top left of the report.

  2. Add the Receipt Sent column.

  3. Click Apply.

  4. Click the Filter icon on the Receipt Sent column.

  5. Select Is False.

  6. Apply the filter.

The report will now display only Gifts where Receipt Sent is currently set to No.

Generate the Receipts

Once the report contains the correct Gifts:

  1. Click Receipts in the top right of the report.

  2. Select the type of receipt you want to generate:

    • Email

    • Print

    • Statements

  3. If emailing or printing receipts, select the applicable Transactional Template.

  4. Select Send Receipts or Print Receipts.

If you select Statements, you will be directed to the Contribution Statement tools, where you can review the statement settings and then choose to email the statements or save them as a PDF.

💡 Bulk printing is limited to 500 Gift rows at a time. If your report contains more than 500 Gifts, apply additional filters and generate the receipts in smaller batches.

💡 If you plan to use the same Gift Report again, click Save or Save As to preserve the report setup for future use.

Filter for Gifts with an Email Address

If you plan to email receipts, you can narrow the report to Gifts associated with Contacts who have an email address.

  1. Add or locate the Email column in the report.

  2. Click the Filter icon on the Email column.

  3. Select Is Not Empty.

  4. Apply the filter.

The report will now include only Gifts associated with Contacts who have an email address available.

To identify Gifts that may need a printed receipt instead, filter the Email column using Is Empty.
