Manage Online Giving Forms
After an Online Giving Form has been created, it can be managed from the Online Giving area in DonorDock. From here, your team can review existing Giving Pages, open and edit their settings, view fundraising results, duplicate pages for future use, change the organization’s default Giving Page, or archive pages that are no longer active.
Giving Pages can remain in DonorDock after a campaign or event has ended, allowing your organization to keep the related history and reporting without continuing to accept new Gifts through the page.
View Your Online Giving Forms
Navigate to "Online Giving" to view the Giving Pages that have been created for your organization. Giving Pages can appear in the following statuses:
Draft
Published
Archived
Use the status filter to switch between available views or select "All" to see Giving Pages across all statuses. The search field can also be used to locate a specific page by name.
Each Giving Page card provides a quick summary of the page and its activity. Depending on the page configuration, this can include information such as the Giving Page URL, Text-to-Donate keyword, Campaign, Appeal, progress toward the page goal, total number of Gifts, and total amount raised.
Open or Edit a Giving Page
An existing Giving Page can be opened from the Online Giving list to review or update its settings. Published pages are not locked after publication, so changes can continue to be made as your fundraising needs change.
After making an update, click "Save" in the upper-right corner of the Giving Page settings. Changes made to a published page will update the live donor-facing form.
The preview on the right side of the Giving Page settings can be used to review how visible changes will appear before or after saving.
View the Giving Page Dashboard
Each Giving Page has its own dashboard for reviewing the Gifts and fundraising activity connected to that page. The Giving Page Dashboard can be opened from the Giving Page list using the dashboard icon or by selecting "View Giving Page Dashboard" from within the Giving Page settings.
The dashboard provides information about the page’s progress, related tracking information, and Gifts received through or associated with the Giving Page. This can help you review the results of a specific campaign, event, appeal, or other fundraising effort without building a separate report.
From the dashboard, select "Manage" next to the Giving Page URL to return to the Giving Page settings.
Set the Default Giving Page
One published Giving Page can be set as the organization’s "Default Giving Page". The default page is available through your organization’s primary yourtenant.ddock.gives URL, which allows your organization to maintain one consistent giving link even if the page behind that link changes over time.
For example, the default URL may normally direct donors to your general giving page but can temporarily be changed to a year-end campaign or other featured fundraiser. Once that campaign is complete, you can set another published page as the default without requiring the organization to replace the URL everywhere it has previously been shared.
The default Giving Page also serves as the destination when someone visits the URL of an Archived Giving Page.
To change the default page, open the published Giving Page you want to use and select "Set as Default" in the upper-right corner.
Duplicate a Giving Page
Duplicating a Giving Page creates a new copy using the existing page’s settings as a starting point. This can be useful when your organization runs similar campaigns or events each year, creates several Giving Pages with the same branding, or wants to reuse an existing page structure without rebuilding it from scratch.
From the Online Giving list, select the "Duplicate" icon for the Giving Page you want to copy. DonorDock will create a new Draft based on the original page, which can then be updated with a new name, images, messaging, amounts, tracking, or other settings before being published.
Most Giving Page settings are carried into the duplicate. The "Text-to-Donate Keyword" is not copied because each Giving Page must have its own unique keyword. If Text-to-Donate will be used on the new page, a new keyword must be configured before it is promoted.
Duplicating a page does not duplicate the Gifts or fundraising results associated with the original Giving Page. The new page begins with its own activity and reporting.
Disable a Published Giving Page
A published Giving Page can be temporarily disabled without changing it to Archived status by using "Disable This Page and Show a Custom Message" in the Giving Page settings.
When this option is enabled, the original Giving Page URL remains active, but donors see the custom placeholder page instead of the payment form. The placeholder can include a custom message, organization logo settings, and options for continuing to show the fundraising goal and amount raised.
This option can be useful when an event has filled, a campaign has temporarily paused, or a fundraiser has ended but your organization still wants visitors using the existing link to see information specific to that page.
To begin accepting Gifts through the form again, turn off "Disable This Page and Show a Custom Message" and save the Giving Page.
Disabling a Giving Page is different from archiving it. A disabled page remains Published and continues using its existing URL and custom placeholder, while an Archived page is removed from active use and visitors are redirected to the organization’s default Giving Page.
Archive a Giving Page
Archiving is the recommended way to remove a Giving Page from active use while preserving the page and its historical information in DonorDock. When a Giving Page is archived, it no longer accepts new Gifts. If a donor follows the URL for an Archived Giving Page, they are redirected to the organization’s current default Giving Page.
Archived pages remain available in DonorDock and can still be reviewed or duplicated later. Archiving does not delete the Gifts that were previously received through the page.
To archive a Giving Page:
Navigate to "Online Giving".
Open the Giving Page you want to archive.
Click "Archive" in the upper-right corner.
Confirm the action when prompted.
The page will move to Archived status and will no longer be available for new transactions.
Republish an Archived Giving Page
An Archived Giving Page can be returned to Published status if your organization wants to begin using it again.
Navigate to "Online Giving".
Filter the Giving Page list to "Archived" if needed.
Open the Giving Page you want to reactivate.
Click "Publish" in the upper-right corner.
Confirm the action when prompted.
Once published again, the Giving Page can accept new Gifts and its sharing options become available again.
Before republishing an older page, review its settings to make sure the branding, amounts, Campaign, Appeal, Funds, receipt settings, and other configuration are still appropriate.
Delete a Giving Page
Deleting a Giving Page permanently removes the page from DonorDock and cannot be undone. Because deletion is permanent, archiving is generally the better option when the goal is simply to stop using a page while keeping it available for historical reference.
A Giving Page can only be deleted while it is in Draft or Archived status. Published Giving Pages must first be archived before they are eligible for deletion.
To delete a Giving Page:
Navigate to "Online Giving".
Open the Draft or Archived Giving Page you want to delete.
Click "Delete" in the upper-right corner.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Once deleted, the Giving Page itself cannot be recovered.
