Gift Conversion tracking from Sent Emails

DonorDock automatically tracks gifts generated from supported links in bulk Outreach Emails.

This lets you see which emails are driving donations and how much giving can be attributed to each email.

How Gift Conversion Tracking Works

When you include a supported giving page URL in a bulk email, DonorDock automatically adds tracking information to the link before sending the message.

When a recipient:

  1. Receives the email

  2. Clicks the giving page link

  3. Completes a donation

DonorDock can associate the resulting gift with the email that generated the visit.

No manual UTM configuration is required.

Supported Giving Page Links

Conversion tracking works with supported DonorDock and GoFundMe Pro giving pages.

DonorDock Giving Pages

DonorDock recognizes links using:

  • Your organization's ddock.gives subdomain

  • DonorDock ddock.co short links

DonorDock automatically appends a ge_id tracking parameter before sending the email.

GoFundMe Pro and Classy

If your organization uses the GoFundMe Pro integration, DonorDock can also track supported GoFundMe Pro and Classy giving page links.

Supported domains include:

  • donate.gofundme.com

  • give.classy.org

Custom GoFundMe Pro Giving Domains

Organizations using GoFundMe Pro may use a custom domain for their giving pages.

To add a custom domain:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Locate the GoFundMe Pro integration.

  3. Click Configure.

  4. Add your custom giving page domain.

  5. Save your changes.

DonorDock can then apply conversion tracking to links using the configured domain.

Conversion Statistics

Once gifts have been attributed to an email, DonorDock can display:

Statistic

Description

Gifts

Number of gifts attributed to the email

Gift Amount

Total dollar amount of those gifts

Conversion Rate

Percentage of delivered emails that resulted in an attributed gift

Conversion information may appear on the Sent Email Summary Page, Recipient Engagement information, and email comparison tools.

The Sent Email Summary Page can also display the individual gifts attributed to the email.

Appeal Attribution

If the bulk email is associated with an Appeal, DonorDock may also apply that Appeal to resulting gifts.

The giving page's configuration takes priority.

  • If the giving page already has an Appeal, that Appeal is used.

  • If the giving page does not have an Appeal and the email does, the gift can inherit the email's Appeal.

This prevents an email from overriding an Appeal already configured directly on the giving page.

Things to Know

  • Tracking parameters are added automatically.

  • Conversion tracking works whether or not the email itself is associated with an Appeal.

  • Conversion statistics may continue to change as recipients donate after the original email was sent.

  • If the bulk email is deleted, the relationship between the gift and email is removed, but the gift itself is not deleted.
