Designate Online Gifts to Funds

DonorDock Giving Pages can work with Funds to automatically designate Online Giving Gifts to the appropriate area of your organization. You can assign every Gift from a Giving Page to the same Fund, or allow donors to choose from a list of Funds when they make their Gift.

Assign All Gifts to the Same Fund

Use the "Default Fund" setting when every Gift submitted through the Giving Page should be assigned to the same Fund.

1. Navigate to "Online Giving" from the top navigation in DonorDock

2. Open the Giving Page you want to update

3. On the left side of the Giving Page settings, scroll down and expand "Tracking"

4. Locate "Default Fund" and begin typing the name of the Fund you want to use

5. Select the Fund from the available results

6. Select "Save"

If "Allow Donors to Designate Gifts" is turned off, the selected Default Fund is automatically applied to Gifts created through that Giving Page. The donor does not need to select a Fund during the giving process.

Allow Donors to Choose a Fund

You can also allow donors to choose where their Gift should be designated.

1. Navigate to "Online Giving" from the top navigation in DonorDock

2. Open the Giving Page you want to update

3. On the left side of the Giving Page settings, expand "Tracking"

4. Turn on "Allow Donors to Designate Gifts"

5. Under "Fund Options", search for and select each Fund you want donors to be able to choose from

6. If you want one Fund to appear selected automatically when the Giving Page loads, select it under "Default Fund"

7. Select "Save"

When donor designation is enabled, the selected Funds appear as choices on the Giving Page. If a "Default Fund" is also configured, that Fund appears selected initially, but the donor can choose a different Fund from the available options before completing their Gift.

Each Gift can be assigned to only one Fund. If a donor wants to divide their contribution between multiple Funds, separate Gifts will need to be submitted.
