Analyzing Overall Email Statistics
In addition to reviewing individual emails, DonorDock lets you analyze bulk email performance over a selected period.
The Analyze tool can help you identify trends and compare the performance of multiple email sends.
Open the Analyze Tool
Navigate to Outreach > Emails.
Select the Analyze tab.
Review the email statistics for the selected date range.
The default date range is six months.
You can adjust the date range as needed, and the statistics and email table will update automatically.
Statistics Available
The Analyze tool can include metrics such as:
Total Sent
Open Rate
Click Rate
Delivery Rate
Bounce Rate
Drop Rate
Unsubscribe Rate
These statistics provide a broader view of email performance than reviewing one sent email at a time.
Compare Email Sends
The table beneath the overall statistics displays emails sent during the selected date range.
Use this table to compare the results of different email sends.
Click the name of an email to open its Sent Email Summary Page and review that email in more detail.
Export Email Statistics
If you need to do additional analysis or keep a separate record of the results, you can export the Analyze table to Excel.
Use the available download option to export the table for further analysis.
Interpreting Email Performance
When comparing emails, avoid relying on a single statistic.
For example, an email may have:
A lower open rate but a higher click rate
A high click rate but few gift conversions
A high open rate but a high unsubscribe rate
Strong delivery but low engagement
Looking at several metrics together can provide a clearer picture of how recipients are responding to your outreach.
